The People's World App is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require you to create an account, nor do we collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical location, or contacts.

Data Collected Automatically:

• Device Identifiers: We utilize third-party services like Firebase Cloud Messaging which may collect device identifiers (such as FCM tokens) solely for the purpose of delivering push notifications and news alerts.
• App Activity & Telemetry: Standard crash logs and diagnostic data may be collected automatically by underlying third-party SDKs to ensure stability and performance.
• Local Storage: User preferences, such as selected news topics to follow, listen speed for text-to-speech, and interface toggles, are stored strictly locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

3. How We Use and Share Information

The limited data collected is used exclusively for the operational functionality of the App:

• To send you timely news alerts (if you opt-in to notifications).
• To maintain and improve the App’s performance and reliability.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third-party data brokers. Data is only shared with the third-party service providers listed below to facilitate App features.

To provide features such as push notifications, the App employs the following third-party software development kits (SDKs):

5. Account Deletion and Data Retention

Account Deletion Process:

The People's World App does not use user accounts. You do not need to register, login, or create a profile to use the App. Since we do not maintain user accounts on our servers, there is no account to delete.

Managing Your Data:

Because no personal user profile exists on our servers, you have full control over the data associated with the App directly from your device:

• Revoke Permissions: You can turn off push notifications at any time via your device's operating system settings.
• Clear Data: You can delete all locally stored preferences by clearing the App's storage and cache in your device settings.
• Complete Removal: Uninstalling the App will remove it and its locally stored data from your device completely.

6. Permissions Context

The App requests the following device permissions for specific features:

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To deliver news alerts.
• Foreground Service & Media Playback: To allow background audio playback of news articles via our text-to-speech feature.

We do not request permissions for your camera, microphone, precise location, or contacts.
